Blog All About It: Favourite Scent

This month's (March) blog prompt is favourite scents.

I like this topic but my disorganised self is posting this at the beginning of April - in other words late - because of... Well. No reason other than I'm hopeless and despite various reminders I forgot.

Anyways, I love the topic of scents because they have the ability to teleport you to another time and place, to transform a mood in an instant.

Here is a list of my favourite scents and why, in no particular order:

Coconut

It makes me think of sunshine and summer. Of family holidays and warmth.

Cinnamon

This makes me think of Autumn.
It conjures images of Christmas and fresh baked goods.
It fills me with a warm cozy, yummy, feeling and I can't get enough of it.

Creosote

Takes me back to my childhood when the village would be filled with the scent of it as the neighbors all painted their fences and sheds.

Old Spice

This will forever be linked to my grandad.
It was his aftershave and I miss him fiercely.

Vanilla

Reminds me of home.
I use vanilla air fresheners, scented candles and the like. It's warm, sweet and cosy.

Coffee

I'm not a big fan of drinking coffee - gives me headaches - but I could sit and inhale the fragrance all day long and never get bored of it.

What are your favourite scents and why?

  6. I don't drink coffee much either because it upsets my stomach. But I do like the scent. I also like the smell of gumballs and cotton candy.
